Acknowledgements and Website Dedication

Betula's_Botanica_Pic Monica DechA little over a year ago I sold my first bar of soap…”Sweet Earth”… to someone whose name and face I unfortunately don’t remember.   But thanks to this individual and those who followed with their enthusiastic support for my early attempts at soap making that “Betula’s Botanica” was born.    Thank you to the Boyertown Farmers Market and their generous support in helping me launch Betula’s Botanica in a public arena, my coworkers at Hopewell Nursery for putting up with my constant “soap chatter”,  all my loyal customers who have kept coming back for more and keeping me motivated to add just one more scent!  I’m so grateful to my friends…Audrey, Courtney, Diane, Karen, Mary, Michael, Pam, Robert, and Tammie…each of you have nurtured my entrepreneurial spirit so that I had no choice but to grow.  And Dot…you took a chance on me and graciously added my soaps to your array of unique gift items in your West Reading store, Celtic Myth & Moonlight.   If I hadn’t crossed paths with Dani, Meredith, and Kate of Hot Glue Media, this website would be many months from fruition.   You’re E-Commerce product, “Wicked Plum” and awesome support helped me reach my goal of creating a clean and inviting web site that is an extension of myself and portrays Betula’s Botanica as an alternative source for healthy and nurturing body care products.  Finally… I couldn’t have accomplished near as much as I have this past year without the support of my “loved ones”…Mom & Dad…for instilling within me the importance of hard work and perseverance, Pete…my man who has believed in my vision by unfailingly supporting me throughout this tumultuous year and reminding me of the importance of balance…that is… “Work to Live” and not “Live to Work”, and lastly my enthusiastic daughters Emily and Hannah…whose energy and spirit guide me to realize my full potential while striving to make a difference.  I humbly offer my gratitude and dedicate this web site to each of you with the knowledge that where one person with a dream may stand alone…it is through the efforts of many that much can be accomplished!  With Love…Monica “Betula” Dech
